Working with Japanese architect Kengo Kuma, Alan Yau set about transforming a tricky 1960s 'New Brutalist' building in London's St James's into a strikingly luxurious Japanese restaurant. From the ground floor sushi bar to the first floor restaurant, from the traditional-style seating to the seriously extensive sake list, Sake no Hana is about offering London the sort of Japanese dining experience currently not available outside Tokyo.
